\u2013 To Accelerate and Promote Our Three Transformations\u2013<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

NIPPON SHOKUBAI CO., LTD. (Headquarters: Osaka, Japan, President: Kazuhiro Noda, hereinafter \u201cNippon Shokubai\u201d) will revise its organizational structure as of April 1, 2023. Under our long-term vision \u201cTechnoAmenity for the future,\u201d we are promoting three transformations: business transformation, strategic transformation for environmental initiatives, and organizational transformation. This reorganization is designed to accelerate and promote these transformations.
Nippon Shokubai reorganize Energy & Electronics Solutions Division, Innovation & Business Development Division, etc. mainly for the following reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Expand battery materials business and accelerate commercialization of water and environmental business<\/li>
  2. Strengthen R&D toward carbon neutrality<\/li>
  3. Strengthen evaluation and analysis technologies that contribute to the expansion of the Solutions businesss and technologies that demonstrate its strengths as it actively contributes to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and building a sustainable society.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Major Newly Established Organizations and Their Overviews<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    <Divisions>
    In order to further accelerate and promote the expansion of the battery materials business, \u201cBattery Business Solutions\u201d will be newly established. This division will consist of three departments: sales & marketing, research, and technology development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    “GX Research & Development” will be newly established to build an R&D structure for business transformation through green transformation. This division consists of three departments, with Process Catalysts Research Department centralized to accelerate and promote R&D toward carbon neutrality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    <Departments>
    Establish \u201dIONEL Project Planning Department\u201d in the Business Planning Division to realize and promote global development of the IONEL business through collaboration with other companies, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Establish \u201cWater & Environment Solutions Business Department\u201d to accelerate the commercialization of the water and environmental business. This department will have business planning and R&D functions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Establish \u201cDX Promotion Department\u201d at Kawasaki Plant to accelerate smart factory and DX promotion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    To promote the acquisition of new evaluation technologies that will contribute to strengthening the Solutions business, \u201cMaterials Evaluation and Analysis Research Center\u201d will be reorganized into two groups.
    \u201cIntelligence Group\u201d will be newly established in \u201cIntellectual Property Center\u201d, comprising three groups, in order to strengthen the ability to analyze intellectual property information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
