(Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Osaka; President: Yujiro Goto,<br>hereinafter \u201cNippon Shokubai\u201d) announces that July 11, 2019, its subsidiary PT.NIPPON SHOKUBAI INDONESIA (hereinafter \u201cNSI\u201d) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Acrylic Acid (\u201cAA\u201d) plant in Cilegon, Banten, Indonesia.<br>(The corporate outline of NSI and the detail of capacity expansion work are mentioned below.)<br><br>AA, one of Nippon Shokubai\u2019s core businesses, shows steady growth of demand as a key material for superabsorbent polymers (\u201cSAP\u201d) and acrylates (\u201cAES\u201d) etc. In recent years, the demand and supply balance of AA is highly tight especially in Asia.
