NIPPON SHOKUBAI CO., LTD [Tokyo Stock Exchange – TOKSE:4114.T] (“NIPPON SHOKUBAI”) reports an extraordinary income and loss at the financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2014.
1. Reporting of extraordinary income
NIPPON SHOKUBAI reports 3,851 million yen of insurance income as an extraordinary income, which is a part of insurance paid for the explosion and fire at Himeji plant on September 29, 2012.
2. Reporting of extraordinary loss
NIPPON SHOKUBAI reports 2,822 million yen as an extraordinary loss caused by the explosion and fire at Himeji plant on September 29, 2012, which is mainly composed of suspension fixed costs after the accident.
3. Financial impact
As for the full-year financial forecast for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2014, NIPPON SHOKUBAI leaves the previous estimates announced on May 8, 2013 unchanged.
