NIPPON SHOKUBAI announces an expansion of Acrylic resin for optical materials “ACRYVIEWA” production capacity

NIPPON SHOKUBAI CO., LTD. [Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Osaka; President: Masanori Ikeda, TSE:4114] (“NIPPON SHOKUBAI”) expands its Acrylic resin for optical materials “ACRYVIEWA” production capacity to meet its active demand.

Acrylic resin for optical materials “ACRYVIEWA” is first commercialized by NIPPON SHOKUBAI in 2006, and it improves performance of LCDs for large screen TV, smartphones, tablets and so on.

NIPPON SHOKUBAI, existing annual production capacity is 6,000 T/Y, will build a new ACRYVIEWA plant with an annual production capacity of 3,000 T/Y at Himeji Plant, to respond its highly growing demand.

◆Feature of the capacity expansion
Production capacity—ACRYVIEWA　3,000 T/Y(Including the current capacity 6,000T/Y, total capacity is 9,000T/Y.)
Schedule—————–Mechanical completion: End of April 2016
Location—————–Existing site of Himeji Plant
