NIPPON SHOKUBAI Announces a Change of the Name of a Subsidiary in the USA

NIPPON SHOKUBAI CO., LTD. [Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Osaka; President: Masanori Ikeda, TSE:4114] (“Nippon Shokubai”) announces that NA Industries, Inc., a subsidiary in the USA, changed its company name to Nippon Shokubai America Industries, Inc. (“NAII”) on January 1, 2016.

1. Background of the change
Under the “strengthening of group management” listed in the long-term business plan, “Reborn Nippon Shokubai 2020”, the Company changed the name of its subsidiary in the USA to Nippon Shokubai America Industries, Inc. which bears “Nippon Shokubai” in the name, aiming to foster a sense of unity as a member of the Group and further global expansion.
