Basic Information
AQUALIC™ FN-001 is a highly functional polymer-type chelating agent. It is a water-soluble polymer and is safer than low-molecular-weight chelating agents. It has less environmental impact than phosphorus, which is subject to strict wastewater regulations, and EDTA, which is subject to PRTR (Pollutant Release and Transfer Register).
Compared to conventional carboxylic acid polymers, it also possesses high calcium chelating ability, dispersibility, and anti-redeposition ability. It also possesses excellent solubility under high temperature and high hardness conditions, making it suitable for use in cleaning agents, water treatment, papermaking, and fiber treatment applications.

- Environmentally friendly
Functions
Calcium Chelating Ability
FN-001 has high chelating ability equivalent to that of low molecular weight chelating agents (MGDA, citric acid and EDTA).

*Evaluation method: Evaluated using a Ca ion electrode
Detergency Evaluation
Comparison of cleaning power for dairy products, which are a source of Ca
Assuming application to cleaning agents for automatic dishwashers (commercial use), we evaluated a detergent formulation with NaOH as the main ingredient.
The dirt used is one that is high in Ca *.
When NaOH alone or 300 ppm of NTA was added, redeposition of dirt was observed, but this was not observed when 30 ppm of FN-001 was added, demonstrating high detergency.

*Stain components: Mix margarine, skimmed milk powder, and wheat flour, place on a glass plate and heat at 130℃ for 10 minutes
